Strategy’s Michael Saylor Predicts $21M Bitcoin by 2046

MicroStrategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor has shocked the crypto world again, forecasting that Bitcoin could hit $21 million per coin by 2046. Speaking at BTC Prague 2025, Saylor framed the prediction as both symbolic and inevitable: “Twenty-one million Bitcoin. Twenty-one years. The timing feels poetic—and inevitable.”

The projection nearly doubles his previous estimate of $13 million by 2045, shared at Bitcoin Nashville in 2024. He attributed the sharp upward revision to converging trends in geopolitics, regulatory clarity, and rising institutional demand for Bitcoin as a reserve-grade digital asset.

According to Saylor, U.S. legislative support, policy clarity in Europe, and growing recognition of Bitcoin’s macro role are accelerating adoption faster than anticipated. MicroStrategy, which currently holds over 200,000 BTC, remains at the forefront of this strategy, reinforcing Saylor’s message that Bitcoin is no longer speculative—it’s structural.

Global Shift Toward Bitcoin Gathers Speed

Saylor emphasized that Bitcoin’s global adoption is unfolding far quicker than analysts or even maximalists predicted. “This isn’t just a bull case anymore—it’s a redefinition,” he told attendees.

He noted that support from U.S. political leaders, especially following Donald Trump’s return to office, represents a seismic shift. The idea of the U.S. holding Bitcoin in its national reserves was once far-fetched, but is now on the table.

Recent legislation like the GENIUS Act, Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, and the Bitcoin Act signals that U.S. policymakers may be laying the groundwork for broader state-level and federal integration of Bitcoin into economic strategy.

Saylor Says Bitcoin Is Becoming Global Infrastructure

The executive’s keynote painted Bitcoin not just as a monetary asset, but as future global infrastructure. He cited rising skepticism toward fiat currencies and central banks as a primary force driving global interest toward decentralized stores of value.

Saylor believes Bitcoin’s emerging role as a neutral, borderless, censorship-resistant network positions it as the core layer for future finance—whether that’s for individuals, corporations, or even sovereign states.

With MicroStrategy continuing to lead institutional adoption, Saylor’s forecast of a $21 million Bitcoin in 2046, though extreme to some, reflects his long-held belief that BTC will serve as the “digital Manhattan” of the new financial world.
