Quick Facts:
- An Ethereum user has burned over 600 ETH and donated Eth to WikiLeaks.
- The burn included on-chain messages to spread warnings about alleged “brain control” technologies.
- In a separate transaction, the user donated 591.62 ETH ($1.63 million) to WikiLeaks.
An anonymous Ethereum user has burned 500 ETH—worth approximately $1.38 million—as part of an ongoing series of on-chain messages warning about alleged “brain control” technologies. This latest transaction, recorded at 6:39 a.m. UTC on Monday, featured a message in Chinese claiming that executives at Kuande Investment (also known as WizardQuant), a China-based hedge fund, were involved in the use of “brain-machine weapons” to manipulate and control both current and former employees. The message further suggested that even the alleged perpetrators themselves were under external control.

The incident is part of a pattern of unusual on-chain financial activity, where the user has previously burned significant amounts of ETH and donated large sums to WikiLeaks in an attempt to draw attention to their claims. Despite the dramatic actions and high-value transactions, no credible evidence has surfaced to substantiate the claims, and Kuande Investment has not responded to the allegations.
This was not the first such transaction. On February 15, the user burned 70.36 ETH ($194,000), warning that the development of “brain-machine interfaces” had led to a new form of crime, where wild animals were being turned into “puppets or slaves of digital machines.” Additionally, on February 10, they burned 33.03 ETH ($91,000) with another similar message about the misuse of brain-machine technology.
All the burned ETH was sent to Ethereum null addresses, permanently removing it from circulation, a process known as token burning. The ongoing pattern of high-value burns, combined with the embedded messages, has sparked intrigue and debate within the Ethereum community. Some view the actions as a form of protest or activism, while others question the user’s motives and credibility.
Donations to WikiLeaks
The same Ethereum user has donated 591.62 ETH (approximately $1.63 million) to WikiLeaks, alongside several on-chain messages revealing deeply personal and alarming claims. The sender, identifying as Hu Lezhi, described himself as an “ordinary programmer and entrepreneur” who had been “monitored and manipulated by a brain-control organization” since birth. According to his message, the alleged organization increased its attacks once he became aware of its existence, leading to what he described as years of “extreme pain” and the loss of “all dignity as a human being.” The message concluded with a bleak statement about his decision to leave the world, expressing despair and anger toward humanity.
Earlier that same day, another donation to WikiLeaks carried a similarly cryptic warning, alleging that brain-machine chips were being deployed on a large scale for military purposes, with major global powers using radio signals and nano brain-machine interfaces to control their citizens.
This latest donation follows a series of significant financial transactions linked to the user. Over 1,238 ETH (valued at approximately $3.4 million) has been sent to various addresses, including large sums burned in previous transactions featuring similar messages.
