Adam Professional Trajectory in Financial Journalism

This foundational curiosity paved the way for his future endeavors in the crypto space. Significant contributions to several esteemed financial news platforms mark Adam’s professional career:

Role at Kaiko and Contributions

Adam is a Research Analyst at Kaiko, a leading cryptocurrency market data provider. In this capacity, he authors in-depth analyses on industry trends and contributes to Kaiko’s weekly Data Debrief.

Recently, Adam and his team have been working on the launch of Kaiko EAGLE Index (EGLX). The Kaiko EAGLE Index (EGLX) is a benchmark designed to track the performance of the top five U.S.-based cryptocurrencies. It offers investors targeted exposure to the U.S. digital asset market, balancing the strength of well-established cryptocurrencies with high-momentum assets. The index follows a structured and investable framework, ensuring diversified representation of the evolving crypto landscape in the United States.

Methodology of EGLX

The EGLX selection process prioritizes cryptocurrencies based on two primary factors: 50% size weighting, which focuses on market capitalization, and 50% liquidity weighting, which emphasizes trading volume. Once the top five cryptocurrencies are identified, they are further weighted 75% by size and 25% by momentum to balance stability and growth potential.

To prevent excessive concentration, a 30% capping factor is applied. Additionally, the index undergoes a quarterly review to ensure it remains aligned with market developments and accurately reflects industry trends.

Features EGLX Holds

EGLX includes only cryptocurrencies with a strong U.S. connection, determined by their legal entity or headquarters location. The index is updated every 5 seconds, ensuring accurate tracking of market movements and real-time pricing.

Additionally, a fixed rate is published daily at 20:00 UTC, providing a reliable reference point for investors. This structured approach ensures transparency and up-to-date insights for market participants looking to track the performance of leading U.S.-based digital assets.

Asset Selection and Sector Agnosticism

EGLX follows a sector-agnostic approach, meaning it does not favor any particular category of cryptocurrencies. The selection process includes various types of digital assets, including meme coins, as long as they have significant ties to the U.S. crypto ecosystem. The in-house research team evaluates and classifies these projects to ensure transparency and reliability in asset selection.

The Kaiko EAGLE Index (EGLX) provides a structured and data-driven approach to benchmarking U.S.-based cryptocurrencies. By combining blue-chip strength with momentum-driven selection, it offers investors diversified exposure to the evolving crypto landscape while minimizing concentration risk. Its real-time updates and quarterly reviews make it a reliable tool for tracking market trends and investment opportunities.

Adam has navigated the rapidly evolving and often volatile crypto industry throughout his career. The crypto market’s inherent unpredictability presents challenges for analysts and investors alike. Adam’s ability to adapt and provide insightful analysis amidst these fluctuations underscores his expertise and resilience in the field.
