Rumble Kong League Revamps $FAME Tokenomics with Major Changes for NFT Holders and Gamers

Rumble Kong League Revamps $FAME Tokenomics

The developers of Rumble Kong League have unveiled a major revamp of the $FAME tokenomics, altering the token release schedule and distribution strategy.

The updated model increases the number of tokens unlocked at the Token Generation Event (TGE), shortens the vesting period for NFT holders, and introduces revised allocations for different categories.

Adjusted Token Unlocks and Vesting Periods

The most notable shift in the updated tokenomics is the increase in tokens released at TGE. Initially, 896 million tokens (12.8% of the total supply) were set to be released, but the new model more than doubles this figure to approximately 1.7 billion tokens, representing 25.3% of the total 7 billion supply.

This change is largely driven by modifications to the Community and Ecosystem allocations. The Community allocation, which benefits NFT holders, now follows an 18-month vesting period instead of the previously planned 24 months. This category retains its 30% share of the total supply, but with a faster unlock schedule, 40% of this allocation (12% of the total supply) will be available at TGE, doubling the previously planned 6%.

Meanwhile, the Ecosystem allocation undergoes a contrasting adjustment, with its vesting period extended from 24 months to 48 months. Despite this longer vesting schedule, the proportion unlocked at TGE increases from 15% to 30%, bringing the immediate release to 4.5% of the total supply.

However, the overall allocation to the Ecosystem category has been reduced from 20% to 15%, as tokens originally designated for social campaigns and airdrop incentives are now listed under separate categories—Social Fi (3% of total supply) and P2A Season 1 (2% of total supply). Both of these newly classified allocations will be fully unlocked at TGE, ensuring that participants in the soft launch receive their airdrop rewards immediately.

The initial plan to launch $FAME in late January or early February has been revised, with the TGE now scheduled for late February 2025. Although a precise date has not been confirmed, the developers have disclosed that the token will be launched on the Solana blockchain and will feature gamified staking mechanisms. Positioned as a central component of a broader multi-sport blockchain ecosystem, the $FAME token aims to integrate sports culture into the Web3 space.

Ahead of the TGE, Rumble Kong League’s Season 2 is set to commence on February 17. This update introduces gameplay enhancements, a mini-game, an overhauled league system, and the ability to wager Fame Points. Players who participate in the soft launch period will continue to earn $FAME, though it remains unclear if Season 2 rewards will be immediately claimable at TGE, as the revised tokenomics explicitly mention only the first season.

With the migration to the Ronin blockchain, Rumble Kong League has positioned itself for broader adoption and enhanced stability. The updated tokenomics and game expansions reflect a strategic shift to optimize engagement and long-term sustainability in the Web3 gaming space.
